Designed by Geoffrey Cornish in the 1960′s, Crystal Lake tips out at 6,504 yards with a 72.4 course rating and a 129 slope. A traditional layout with parallel fairways bordered by willow and pine trees, a few doglegs with each hole being unique. With four sets of tees to choose from players at any ability can enjoy this course. The course has undergone an extensive face lift from tees to fairways since new ownership and management took over in 2010 and it continues to improve. Most fairways are 35 to 45 yards wide and cut to 1/2 inch. The rough is fairly easy to play out of and being cut at 2 inches. The majority of the greens are sloped back to front giving golfers a great visibility of the hole from the middle of the fairway. Crystal is located off of exit 50 on I-495 in Haverhill, about 45 minutes north of Boston.
